Bottle was not from image , the image is from the first release and the reason I bought it at the price I paid, what I received was a bottle from a later batch that sells for 10-13 dollars with free shipping. The first release has no letters or numbers at bottom in dark print.

    Easily set up and connected.

No problems setting up, connecting, and printing as it was a replacement for an identical printer that I had that went bad. The only problem -- not a big concern -- it occasionally makes a noise as if it wants to print, but of course doesn't.

  • Top critical review

Failure to meet standard put forth

Entire package arrived with distinct bad odor. Was not packed well to avoid damage. Rattling parts heard. Turned upside down and 3 pieces fell out. Partial cord included. Had to obtain cords to connect.Installed genuine HP cartridges. Once connected, print was spotty. Hit and miss. Same result on everything printed. Letters missing in various places throughout documents.

  • Good printer, but one inconvienient problem

I bought this printer for college and recieved it about a month ago. Unfortunately, the wireless doesnt work over my college's wifi network. It does, however, work when im at home. I like the fact that it can scan and copy things; I've used those a bit. I've also printed a few things. The speed is very fast and all of my papers have been printed fast. Today I recieved a "print cartridge error" message on the screen and it won't let me print anything. I've re-started, taken out the cartridges, put them back, turned it on, unplugged it, and have done everything I could think of. My friend who has the same printer, though, has the same problem from time to time. Apparently it's a defect of this printer that I wasn't aware of. All in all, a ...

  • A great printer for simple printing jobs.

The best thing about this printer is its simplicity. We are casual printers since everything's digital now, and we may go through 3 or 4 print cartridges a year tops. So this printer, with its simple touch functionality and three-feature mode, makes our ocassional printing easy. It's quite (even though other postings say otherwise), and it's sleek black finish looks great with TouchSmart computers. The wireless feature is obviously a plus for Windows Vista and 7 systems, and setup (while it took longer than expected) was a breeze. If you want a basic printer with touch and wireless functionality, this is it for you. If you want FAX and super-fast print times, then look elsewhere.

  • Great printer, lousy set-up and accessories

First what I don't like. The cord that attaches from the 'power brick' to the power supply is quite short. If you plug it into a wall it will be dangling off the floor. Like other new products there is virtually no printed documentation included - I guess that's the new 'green' trend. Even things like how to install the print cartridges are 'online' only. The included USB cable is ridiculously short, just over 3 feet. Considering the USB port is in the back of the printer, you'd have to have it on the desk right next to the pc. It does use a standard USB A to USB B cable and you can find longer ones at places like CyberGuys. If your computer is connected to a wireless network (mine isn't) you have the option of printing wirelessly. The install disk is simple to use but takes a ...
