Havent had to use them on the trail yet, but I've changed a couple tires at home just to get a feel for them. I have the much longer steel version of these as well but bought these to carry on the bike, they are so light and compact. Indispensable for roadside repairs
I always like to carry flat repair tools on my rides so these light weight aluminum bead breaker/tire spoons sounded like a great tool. I tried them out in the shop first, and was amazed at how easily they broke the tire bead loose from the rim. The other ends worked equally well for levering the tire on and off the rim. I bought these just before a long trip didn't use them before I left I just threw them in my tool tube. On the trip 1700 miles from home I had two flats in two days. They worked perfect. 1st flat completely fixed and rolling again in 45 minutes. The Bead pros made very fast work of breaking the bead. 2nd flat 30 minutes.
