    The First 12 Sides: Aretha Franklin

    I like everything about this CD because Aretha Franklin had just begun to thrill fans at the beginning of her illustrious career as a singer. I decided to buy it because I had bought it in album format,and it was a "must buy" on CD. This music showcases her early years as a singer on Columbia Records. She sang with such maturity and experience even though she was very young. Her lyrical interpretations , phrasing, and timing is impeccable, and she moved you to the depth of emotion. Feel the gospel in her voice, feel the rhythm of the music, and feel the sound of pure soul satisfaction. This is not an imitation. This is the real Aretha Franklin, young, gifted, and full of fire.
