Product Information

Based on the computer-animated film starring the voices of Ray Romano, Dennis Leary, and John Leguizamo, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown is a 3D platform game that closely follows the movie's storyline. Players will guide animal characters Manny, Sid, Diego, and the rambunctious Scrat in an adventure that involves saving each species from the melting glaciers in their arctic home. The goal in each of the game's six levels is to safely reach the end while steering clear of hazards and confronting enemies such as wild boars, polar bears, beavers, and more. Throughout each level are a substantial number of acorns to collect, which unlocks bonus content such as interviews with the film's stars. The majority of the game involves playing as Scrat, who can double jump, tail whip, and throw pebbles to avoid or stun enemies. The other characters star in their own mini-games, such as Sid's "Slippery Sloth Side Challenge," which has the obnoxious critter sliding on his belly down a slalom-like course made entirely of ice.

The problem with my purchase is that I received sun faded box art while the picture was of a regular colourful item that did not match. I reached out to the seller but no resolution option was offered. Which is unfortunate cause I’ve bought from this seller before and it’s been typically a good experience. I think some more care could go into their photos of their products.

    Meltdown to your kids hearts!

    Ice Age 2: The meltdown brings back the unlucky Squirrel- Scruffy, who can't seem to gather enough nuts to make himself happy. During this ice capade he meets all the cast from the Ice Age 2 movie. I love the fact that the story line is simple enough for a 3 year old to follow. There were some times he needed help or direction. Overall the game is a good rendition from movie. Don't expect it to bring your family together though like in the movie. There is not a choice for multiplayer mode making this a journey for one only!

    ICE AGE 2

    Bought this title (amongst others) to entertain an 8 year old. He liked one of the other titles better (sports related), but I (39 yo female) just comleted the game as of yesterday. Thanks for the distraction! Was a fun game I will probably play again to see if I can get better at!

    Ice Age 2 The Meltdown

    This game is really allot of fun. My hubby plays this game everday. I think its funny a guy playing these games, What he does he learns it all. Then teaches our grandson. Our grandson is 6 years old. He just loves it. Its a great game for young or old!! We are very please with it.
