Initial miscommunication on shipping cost. Problem turned out to be in the harness between the cluster and ecu, so the remaining cluster issue upon return was not the vendors fault. Old Toyota's electronics become problematic.

2005 2WD Automatic Tacoma - As in seller's description, you need to verify the P0500 code is the related to the instrument cluster/ECU and not a speed sensor. I called the seller and spoke to a nice young lady who was unable to articulate what the actual repair was to the cluster. All I will say is that after the cluster was repaired, I cleared the P0500 code from the ECU and drove the truck for a week to cycle the exhaust emissions sensors, it passed LA County, CA smog/emissions test.

I'm sorry we couldn't get someone on the phone that day to relay in depth what we do, but I can tell you with our repair you will not have the issue again.
