About this product

Product Information

ProStroke Golf: World Tour 2007 features a collection of 18 courses and a group of licensed players that includes Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose, Colin Montgomerie, Ben Curtis, and other professionals. Game modes include the standard match play, career, and multiplayer options, with the addition of special scorecard challenges for fast-paced action. One of the game's standout features is its course and tournament creator, offering players the chance to create their own links and events with an assortment of customization options.

The interface also differs from typical golf games. Instead of looking behind the golfer while initiating the swing, players are presented with a top-down view of the ball, as if they were staring at their feet on an actual course. Players can move their feet into different stances and adjust the club's head position to allow for chip, flop, and punch shots. Once the stance and club are set, players activate the shot using a horizontal swing meter with percentage markings to estimate power. In addition to pro players, the game includes television announcers Sam Torrence, Ian Baker Finch, and Allan Green.

  • Real swing simulation and dynamic game

Viewed preview on 'the Tube'. By far, the most realistic golf swing detail/simulation I've ever seen and played. The player must transfer BODY weight along with swing speed. Also allows for ball position in the address and turning of the club 'face' for draw or slice. MUCH more realistic than EA's Woods 2007. As far as art and grafix, these are a 8.2 outta 10. Good but not Links 2004 like. Commentary is British. Good but kinda boring. Made by Oxygen, in collab with now defunked Actua of England = Euro tour players. HIGHLY recommend for the 'fine tooth and comb' analyst type golf game critics. 8.7 overall...only the art hurts it a bit.

  • Not bad at all

I personally had no problems getting this game to run. I got it up and running within minutes, and was golfing soon after. I think this game is a joy to play. It gave me the impression of really being able to adjust my body position to hit the ball properly. To ready your swing, you have to set how your feet are positioned and how you angle the golf club, and I thought it was fun being able to do all those things to get the ball to curve just right onto the green, or at the right angle down the fairway. I haven't played many golf games out there, and this particular swing setup was new to me, but I enjoyed it. If you play golf leisurely like I do (but maybe golf video games more frequently), and like to learn about how your body affects your shot, I think you'll enjoy this game as I did.
