    Great pump! Low current

pumped out about a 1000 gal fishpond in an hour. water in bottom was slimy green but pump kept running. drilled 1/2 inch holes around perimeter of a 5 gallon bucket and the put pump in that. lower on rope until bucket was at bottom of pond . secured rope so that it kept bucket upright. I had run 200 feet of extension cord, with the pump running okay. It works great for the price paid

    Automatic Shutoff is a Godsend!

Good. I own the original model. Automatic shutoff was greatly needed. Turn on and walk away! Bad. Automatic shutoff. I use this on a roof. I turn on and leave, Go back the next rain event to drain the roof. The "glow" plug shows red that the auto shutoff worked. I unplug and plug back in to drain the new water and the pump will not run. The pump is not hot because it has been off over night or for several days but the pump will not run until it has been unplugged for some period of time. The manual says unplug for an hour OR soak in cool water for 15 minutes. Can the plug tell the temp of the pump? If so, why can't I unplug and plug back in and run if the pump is cold? Bad - A third version of this pump is out now and this comment is about that pump and not the "glow" pump. It has ...

  • Much better than standard utility pump for pool covers

much better than the standard utility pumps I have been using forever! It has a wide base and low water outlet which helps to keep it upright on the cover. plenty of power and a second water outlet on the top should that work better in your application.

  • Well built, quiet, and fast drain pump

Wayne WaterBug Mult-Flo submersible utility pump worked really great when I emptied my 580-gallon hot tub. I usually did it from the bottom of the front of the hot tub, but it takes about 2 hours and you have to take off the front panel and hook a drain hose up to it and water gets all over the tile floor from hose leakage. So I decided to try this pump and discovered it only took about 50 minutes and there was no water on the floor. Also, it is extremely quiet. I would recommend this pump to anyone that has a hot tub or needs to drain water from just about anywhere. It has two drain plugs, one on top and one on the bottom side. Extremely well built.
