    Just what the Dr ordered

    The oil pan on the Ecoboost engine isn't metal, it is some kind of plastic or polymer. So you can't use a traditional metal oil plug. If you change the oil when it is too cold outside, you'll likely snap off one of the ears on this plug - yes even if you are careful. So keep a spare on hand at all times.

    Ford OEM engine oil drain plug. Exact fit, and keeping one or two of these as a spare is a smart idea since they're made of plastic. I haven't broken the original (yet), but I do understand that it happens occasionally. Get some!

    Always good to have spares!

    Haven’t installed it yet, but it’s exactly the same as what’s on my truck, the last oil change I should have replaced the oil plug because of a slight Seepage coming from around the O ring but I didn’t have one. I will replace it with this one on the next oil change.
