This 1995 Sega Genesis game is a great find if you want a classic video game experience. The video game, called Batman Forever, is based on the movie of the same name. Part of the DC Comics universe, this game begins with the breakout of the notorious villain Two-Face from Arkham Asylum. Batman has already defeated the Joker, but now must fight Two-Face and the Riddler and attempt to send them back to Arkham. Sega offers a fun and entertaining game for its Sega Genesis console, using mostly a one-on-one fighting style for much of the gameplay while following the storyline of the Batman Forever movie. Play the game as either Batman or Robin as you make your way through the levels in Gotham City. Use Batman’s weapons and gadgets to battle shady characters and henchmen you encounter as you search for the Riddler and Two-Face. Come to the aid of Commissioner Gorden by freeing hostages. You also get to drive the Batmobile and fly the Batwing on certain levels of the video game. Your ultimate goal in the video game is to send the villains back to Arkham or to the same fate as the Joker, but to get there, you must defeat a number of other bad guys along the way. The game also has a fighting mode where you are not limited to playing as Batman or Robin but have the option of playing as any of the villains that appear in the Genesis game. Additionally, you can team up with a friend against villains using two-player mode. Batman Forever was made by Sega in two similar versions, Super NES and Genesis/Mega Drive. This version, made for Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, received a high rating for its graphics. The Genesis was Sega’s third game console and was released in 1988 in Japan as the Mega Drive and in 1989 in North America as the Genesis. The DC Comic-based Batman game series is popular and has been made for many platforms. Batman Forever games can be found for Game Boy, Game Boy Advance (GBA), and PlayStation Portable (PSP). Those who own a Sega Genesis and enjoy classic video game play will love this 1995 Batman game. Help Batman and Robin take down Gotham’s villains and rescue innocent hostages, or team up with a friend to do so together. I would say a poor game but I love batman
Batman! He's the Caped Crusader, the Dark Knight, and easily one of the greatest superheroes of the DC comic universe. This highly skilled vigilante has been protecting the city of Gotham for decades, fighting to honor the memories of his murdered parents and honing his crime-fighting abilities to absolute perfection. He's faced down psychos, saved the world, and has gone toe to toe with the Man of Steel on more than a few occasions. Yes, Batman truly is the greatest superhero of our time…at least in the cartoons, movies and comic books. Video games are another story. While Batman may the personification of hardcore, the various video games in his namesake don't do him much justice. The Dark Knight has been plagued with crappy titles for years now, treating fans to ill-manufactured slop ... Batman! It's a brand new day in Gotham. Batman has recently ridden the city of both the Penguin and Catwoman, allowing the citizens to go about their daily lives once more. That is, until there's a massive breach of security at Arkham Asylum. Two-Face, a criminal mastermind with a split personality, has broken out of the high security prison. He's leading a bunch of other crazy thugs on a rampage that could annihilate anything good and decent still remaining in the city. But while Two-Face's doubly dangerous style of crime is devastating enough, another villain has emerged from the shadowy depths to wreak his own havoc on the unsuspecting urbanites. The Riddler uses his mind to befuddle his victims, leaving drooling zombies in his wake. With the safety and sanctity of Gotham hanging in the balance yet again, it's up to Batman and Robin to save the day. Without a moment to spare, the two heroes suit up to battle their new foes. They arrive at the scene only to be confronted with a small army of armed lunatics just waiting to get a piece of the Dynamic Duo. Of course, these guys don't know what they're in for. Batman is known throughout the world for not only his technical genius in just about every field, but he's also a master of multiple forms of combat. And while Robin in nothing more than the young sidekick, he has all the skills he needs to take on just about anyone. Yet despite their supposedly vast mastery of the martial arts, these two vigilantes fight like a couple of drunken bar patrons. Only punches, kicks, and uppercuts make up their not-so classy moves. Luckily, our heroes come armed and dangerous with some weapons, like Batarang projectiles and Grappling Hooks. Too bad they can only carry a few weapons at a time, severely hurting their chances of their crusade's success.

First of all let me just say that Batman fans don't get much more hardcore than I am. I have been a Batman fan since before I could walk. But in all seriousness, I had to own this game just to be able to say that I own it. The platform is just a mortal kombat ripoff changed into a side-scroller. The controls are awkward, and it took me forever to get used to them. I only beat it once, and have barely played it since. If you go to Cinemassacre.com, or just google the angry video game nerds review of the Batman games, you'll understand what I'm saying. I knew about all the hap-hazardness of this game before he came out with his review, but he explains it so well, you know exactly what the game is like. a great burst of nostalgia
excellent game but controls are a bit difficult. The game is based mainly on combos to use equipment. If you can't do the combos, you're not gonna get very far. Considering the 16 bit nature of the game, the graphics are pretty good. I love it cause I did as a kid, now its just a lot easier to get through.
