This book has several of her tried and true taste tempting recipes and many new ones that will soon become your families favorites, not just during the holidays but any day during the year. If you follow Paula's program you know about her 2 sons... You will find many cute short stories from Paula about her sons, her mother and grandmother and what makes Christmas special for Paula. Not only is this little book full of great recopies it is a great read also. This book is not the same size as her usual cookbooks.. so when I say a little book I mean it is a "little book" but it is big on good taste!!!! If you are a Paula Deen fan or just ... New addition to my holiday cookbooks
I love, love, love Paula Deen and have her other cookbooks as well. This Christmas cookbook is truly in Paula style. The other reviews already listed some of the mouthwatering recipes tucked inside this beautifully bound book, so I will keep my review simple. LOL Buy it! You will love it! If you are a Paula Deen fan, you will not be disappointed. If you are not yet familiar with Paula, you will enjoy her re down home southern cooking and simple, yet at times elegant, easy to prepare recipes. I am sure some of them will become traditions at my holiday meals for years to come. I already have some of her dishes that I prepare from her early years. Some cookbooks are tedious and incorporate hard to find ingredients and sometimes hard to find "time", if you are a stay at home or ... I love, love, love Paula Deen and have her other cookbooks as well. This Christmas cookbook is truly in Paula style. This copy of Christmas with Paula Deen was purchased to replace the original ruined by a kitchen spill. My daughter purchased the original as she knew how I enjoy watching Paula on the Food Network as well as cooking her recipes. I love the incorporated cherished memories along wiwth her time tested recipes. The recipes are easy to follow. All ingredients are inexpensive, for the most part, and easy to find at your local grocery store. I found a recipe for Benne Sesame Cookies that I had been searching to find for close to 20 years.
