- 9***9 (4)- Feedback left by buyer.Past yearVerified purchaseperfect fit. I have had the shop vac for 14 years. this was the first problem . In searching for a switch some thought the original one was too light duty. my opinion is if the oem style replacement switch lasts half as long as the original it is much better than modifying (cobbing-up) the unit to make a different style switch fit.Reply from: romad10- Feedback replied to by seller romad10.- Feedback replied to by seller romad10.It is not the issue with the switch, the issue is that Shop-vac did a terrible job of engineering all of their vacuums, from what I can tell. They used a rocker switch as a circuit breaker. WHO DOES THAT? Once the switch is thermally destroyed due to being overworked with too much load, the switch fails. That is why 100% of the failures occurs. If they had put an inline circuit breaker, that's actually designed to be CIRCUIT protection for overload, the switches would not fail.

We waited and waited, never was showing any update with the USPS. Contacted Seller about issue, and they automatically shipped out another. Our original order just sat in transit never moving. The seller went above and beyond to make sure we received another one. For some reason some buyers think that sellers have control over the USPS. I no longer have control over an item once the item starts "tracking" in USPS system.
