My 2nd Patterson... Even BETTER than my First
Lifeguard - James Patterson Poor Ned Kelly. This guy has it worse than that Jason guy who married Ms. Spears! Can anything go right for this guy? You'll have to read to find out. This is my second Patterson novel, and I enjoyed it even more the than first (Beach Road). Lifeguard pulled me in, and kept me trapped in it's magic. I stayed up all night reading, I couldn't put "Lifeguard" down. I'm beginning to see why people throw Pattersons name in "The Best Author" debate. Not only are his novels exciting and full of mystery and suspense, but the short chapters make his novels extremely easy to read. Lifeguard is no exception. It starts with a bang, and ends with an all-out 4th of July fireworks display. Great characters, better story, and tons of twists and turns. Final ... Lifeguard - James Patterson Poor Ned Kelly. Fast Pace, Quick Read, Hard to Put Down
This was my first James Patterson and my first book of the summer. With two little ones at home, I gave myself a week to finish it. Because of the quick draw-in and fast-paced storyline throughout, the book was read in one afternoon. I just couldn't put it down. Ned Kelly is a character who, quite possibly, has the worst luck in the world. Despite the continuous mess he gets himself into, you will consistently hope that things will turn out okay for him. Patterson keeps you wondering, hoping, and doubting throughout the book. Right when you think you have everything figured out, here comes a little twist that leaves you with more questions and even more doubt. The ending (before the epilogue) will surprise you, but it comes with a little bit of confusion. I had to re-read a couple ... This was my first James Patterson and my first book of the summer. Not Stop Excitment and Surprises! A MUST READ!
I loved this book from start to finish! James Patterson is one of the best authors I have ever read. This book keeps you going the whole time. No time for being bored here. Once again! AN AWESOME READ! I felt like I knew the characters right from the start. 6 days I had the book completed! LOVED LOVED LOVED IT! I first got hooked on James Patterson by reading Honeymoon... Also another awesome book. I'm also reading the Women's Murder Club and I've read 3 of them this year alone! Get hook on James Patterson and you won't want to read anything else! Another Good James Patterson Book
Some James Patterson books I love (like the Boxer Women's Murder Mystery Series) and others I just find to be too strange. I thought this one was one of the good ones. The main character in the book Ned Kelly, a lifeguard who falls for this beautiful rich girl named Tess. Ned feels he is going to need money to keep his new love interest - interested. He agrees to be part of a art heist with 3 of his friends that he grew up with. His friend Mickey is in charge of the heist so Ned doesn't know much about the details including who they are really doing the job for. All he knows is that the pay off is $5 million. His part in the heist is to set off some house alarms in the other areas to distract the police. Something goes horribly wrong, the paintings they were supposed to steal are already ... She believes that he is innocent and decides to help him. The story has a few twists and a major "whodunit" to solve. This is a good read for the person who enjoys mysteries.
