In "Darksiders II," the end of days is upon us. As the war between the angels and the demons rages on, the four horsemen have come to Earth. As Death, it's your job to provide the innocence of your brother War and resurrect humanity. While your journey will take you to Earth, you'll travel to other realms in your quest. You'll meet an array of characters, both good and evil. Twists and turns await in this story, with friends becoming enemies and vice versa. "Darksiders II" was developed by Vigil Games and published by THQ. These PlayStation 3 games had a release date of 2012 for all regions."Darksiders II" is an open-world, action role-playing game. To traverse this massive world, Death will use a variety of methods. In addition to running and swimming, he will learn to climb structures and run along walls. A special grappling hook will allow you to swing to new locations. The Voidwalker gun lets you create portals from one place to the next. You'll even gain the ability to possess other characters. Your horse, Despair, allows you to quickly traverse any terrain. You'll want to explore each location thoroughly for quests and other items. If you ever get lost, you can summon your raven, Dust, to guide you to your objective.Eventually, you'll need to participate in combat games against otherworldly foes. Death has a number of combat abilities at his disposal. You will wield a number of weapons in your quest, ranging from swords and spears to guns. You can combine your combat abilities into combos that deal additional damage to any enemy. You can learn new combos from various trainers scattered across the land. As you kill enemies, you'll earn new weapons and armor along with experience. Gain enough experience, and you can increase both your health and your attack power. Among your powers is a Wrath meter that fills from dealing damage. When the meter is full, you can turn into your true form. For a short time, this form will let you defeat the enemy forces with ease.The limited edition of this title features content you won't find anywhere else. The limited edition of this title comes in a shiny case, signifying its limited status at a glance. You'll also get access to the in-game "Argul’s Tomb" content. This content features over two hours of new gameplay. In this tomb, players will have to stop an evil as old as time itself. You'll also find weapons and armor in this tomb that are only available within its walls.This "Darksiders" title for the PS3 has a rating of M for Mature. This rating is due to the violence and content found within the title. Even if you haven't played the first "Darksiders" title, you can still follow the story easily. The game's fast-paced combat will have action fans enjoying this video game from start to finish.

    Great action and adventure game.

    Great action and adventure game that is somewhat of an improvement over the first game in the series, in terms of playability. But, I still prefer the original character who looked so much more menacing.

    Pretty Game but too much platform for me

    Liked the first much better. The graphics on this one were pretty but turned out to be a difficult platform game. Mechanics did not help with the platform style. For platform lovers, an OK game for sure. But too much for me. Picked it up cheap so good value just wish it had more story and adventure IMO!

    Buy this game now!

    This took a complete step in the right direction, I loved the strong rps elements of collecting armor and weapons. Death's agile fighting style is so unique, i'm just afraid that they may stick to this agile fighting style with the last 2 riders. With war he was much slower but powerful. Although inexperienced it rarely showed. Death is the eldest of the four and it really shows as you see his relations with the NPC's. My only wish is that this was longer because the farther i got the more i wanted. I should've went after the last few side quests i had left, i'm sure I would've got a sweet weapon from one of the Makers. The amount of secondary weapons really effect your playstyle, from having slow heavy weapons i.e the hammer and broadsword to having fast weapons like the gauntlets and ...

    Amazing sequel to the first Darksiders series

    This game has got me into the medieval, RPG games such as Skyrim. There aren't much similarities in between but this game does not disappoint. If you are into problem solving puzzles ranging from moderately easy to being a bit difficult to figure out at times, in an open and immersive world, with an improved leveling up and weapon system, this is a game for you. The graphics are absolutely stunning as well as the missions in the game, it has a great gameplay and story. You can always adjust the game from normal to easy at anytime. These are one of those games that you would not particularly find challenging but should be played for fun for many hours. Worth 30 but not anymore than 30, great buy.
