Good product, high quality, questionable value
If you love VR and already have a Note 4, and the Gear VR is on sale... get it. At $199, the value is questionable, since you can get Google Cardboard "headsets" for next to nothing, and $199 is a lot to spend on something that you may barely use. But it is fun, and definitely something neat to spend some time with. It's built well, but won't power your phone (something they fixed on the newer version). It also gets your phone really hot, so extended sessions are probably out of the question. Ive had quite a lot of fun with it so far, but I might ditch it when the more powerful PC-powered ones like the Vive become available.If you love VR and already have a Note 4, and the Gear VR is on sale... get it. This is the best VR experience you can currently get without spending a lot of money for the Oculous PC only version of software. It works much better than your brain will believe. Thanks to the GalaxyNote 4 , you will see amazing sights and play some cool games. Most interesting looking games are paid only and I haven't bought anything yet, there is one game where you shoot spheres at different targets , it was free and it's a excellent example of a fun game that works well in VR. The software is incredible, the cinema supports MANY different formats of 3d and 2d video. MP4's, MKV's, encoded with H.264 and even the brand new H.265 work well. That is more related to the phone and the software so back to the actual headset, it feels well made and it's very comfortable but has one major flaw ... I didn't mention this at first because on my first day of playing games with it on, I only had the fog problem after about 1 or 2 hours of player. It was a cool rainy day so I don't know if that atmosphere almost negated the fog issue. 3d mkv's are easy to get online as are 3d adult video's which also play just fine. They require no recoding to playing, simply download the video to a folder on your phone, you'll have to research which folder because different folders are for different apps which are also for different uses ie: 3d videos in one folder and 360 degree video in another.

An amazing experience !!
Had to pay an extra $100 because I have a note 4 and I guess this gear vr is discontinued. This was not worth the over $200 I spent but I am glad I have it! It is an amazing product and once its on, its hard to take off! I was even able to use it for PC games as well.

Perfect for Note 4 owners. The motion tracking is impressively precise. Came in perfect condition, no complaints. I would recommend getting the controller though, makes controlling videos much easier.
