About this product

Product Information

After landing on the beaches of Normandy, soldiers spread out to liberate Europe from the Nazi regime. In Call of Duty 3, single-players focus on the stories of four Allied soldiers that begin at Operation Cobra and leads to the eventual Liberation of Paris. Gameroom generals will lead the group through 14 missions filled with multiple attack routes as a member of either the American, British, Polish, and Canadian armies. Each path requires the use of special tactics in order to navigate the course effectively. Each path requires the use of special tactics in order to navigate the course effectively. Soldiers come equipped with special skills such as the British SAS soldier's knack for sabotage, and the Canadian mechanized infantry's expertise at inventive vehicles.

Internet action is available for up to 24 people in a single or split-screen game, or offline with up to four friends. Players pick from five different classes of character such as medic and anti-armor, and then customize gameplay options. Several game types include "Team Battle," "Capture the Flag," "War," "Headquarters," and a single flag "CTF" that can be played out on many different maps. Online achievements are given for accomplishments similar to getting the first kill in a multiplayer match, or being in the top percentage of scores for ranked games. Environments include deformable objects such as piles of wood that move and splinter when shot, and players may destroy soft cover to flush enemies out in the open. Additional "Battle Action" invites gamers to shoot less and get their hands dirty setting C-4 charges, and fighting Germans with their bare hands.

MUST OWN for fans of WWII shooters

Call of Duty 3 has the Band of Brothers type of campaign style, with the player switching from American, Canadian, Polish, and British protagonists as they fight in the Battle of France in 1944. This game proves that D Day didn’t truly kill the enemy on the Western Front, as it shows a lot of struggles that were happening, during the road to Paris. The multiplayer has a 12 vs 12 size lobby, as well as famous vehicles from the war. The players can choose between classes to do certain things, like medics can revive teammates, scouts can call in artillery, and support gunners can supply ammo. The guns look, sound, and feel real, the graphics are amazing for a 2006 era game. Call of Duty 3 is a MUST OWN for fans of military shooters, FPS fans, or video game collectors

  • Great edition!

Call of Duty 3 utilizes the same identical gameplay as Call of Duty 2. If you like part 2, I would definetely add this to your buy list for Christmas. Let me break this down to categories:- 1. Graphics - 4.5 of 5 - Good eye candy game with lots of explosion everywhere. Video games players would appreciate the details put into the game. 2. Sound -4 of 5 - We all remember the loud and realistic sound from Call of DUty 2 right? Well, guess what? It is the same here with bigger explosions and more things flying around left and right. 3. Replay value 4 of 5 - After beating the single player mode, you can head on to the multiplayer mode and challenge a couple of people. Definetely a plus. 4. 1 player Campaign - 4 of 5 - Your team isn't totally smart. Same bug as part 2. There ...

  • Worth playing, but has its issues

Here is my opinion for Call of Duty 3. The Good: The graphics seems a little bit more polished. I like the wavy grass when you are running through the field. It also seems they tried to add a little more realism with the screen going a little blurry when there are a lot of explosions and bullets flying around you. Even when trying to get the achievements on Veteran difficulty, you bullets are very effective. The FG42 will kill with 1 shot. There is also an improvement of your squad members. They don't always wait for you to make the first move. Many will storm ahead of you often to help identify where enemies are. The Bad: FIRST AND FOREMOST IS THE CHECKPOINT SYSTEM. Even though you get to the checkpoints, it doesn't save every time as in previous CODs. You have have a good ...

  • Answer the Call Once More!!!

Pros + Gorgeous, slick visuals with nice detail. + Trademark 'Call of Duty' small part of a big war action. + Realistic weapons & improved sniping & better tank driving than the previous installment. + Intense gameplay througout the whole game. Cons - No co-op. - No real improvements over 'Call of Duty 2' except for some new multiplayer stuff like being able to sprint. - Lots of glitches that make the game almost unplayable on harder difficulties like the CPU always knowing where you are & useless teammates. - Useless mini-games that attempt to break up boredem within the game like close quarters combat (visually cool though) & bomb planting. - Shortage of checkpoints. Comments There aren't many improvements to the series but there are quite a few more glitches. These glitches are ...
