This set of rare merchandise was offered in new condition at a competitive price. The seller's communication after purchase was friendly and helpful, and a tracking number was provided the next day. The seller packed each item meticulously in individual cardboard boxes which were encased in bubble-wrap, and secured together with newspaper within a suitably-sized box. It was a pleasure to purchase from this seller, who invested great effort in delivering a quality product and experience.

Item got here a lot quicker than expected. Seller reached out not long after purchase to reassure that item was on its way and to reach out if I had any questions. Package arrived tightly wrapped and was undamaged. Mug looks even better in person than in pictures. Would definitely recommend seller

Item was exactly as described. Seller was very good at communicating and giving updates. They packed the item extremely well with lots of care. Even though it was international shipping, the item still came very quickly! I am very very happy with my purchase!

    Is a retro must have!

The Nintendo Family Computer (or Famicom for short) is a video game console made by Nintendo and sold in Japan starting in 1983. The Nintendo Entertainment System, which Nintendo sold outside Japan a couple years later, is nearly identical in behavior with a few changes in the cords, controllers, system look. While the Famicom was made to look friendly and well matched for a Japanese household with bright colors, the NES was made to look like the "future" to get it into the homes of Americans who had been burned by the crash of the second-generation consoles in 1983-1984. Differences from NES Input: -On the original Famicom, the controller 2 has no Select and Start buttons but it has a microphone. It can be used on some games like Zelda. -There is a 15-pin expansion port. The light gun ...

  • Great find!

I usually like to support local shops for goodies like this but a Famicom bundled with a Disk System was something not easy to find in the states. The Famicom works great. The Disk System however is throwing up a few errors. I am troubleshooting it currently. It will be a cheap fix so either way this was a great deal!

  • Great console, as if you need me to tell you that.

The FC, if you played NES in the day, is a great way to find some new titles with that good old feel and style. You could just buy an adapter if you were only interested in some of the Japanese titles and versions, though for hardware purists and collectors this is a must. It is important to note: only use a FC power adapter, this system runs on less amperage than an NES; if you use an NES AC adapter you will fry your famicom!!!! Also, you will need to set your tv to channel 95, not 3. Only complaint I have ever had about this system is the hardwired controllers. They are not easily replaced if broken, and the cords are only about three feet. If you’re considering buying the Famicom, I would suggest doing it sooner than later. They will be harder to find every day that you wait.

  • Good value for as-is Famicom consoles (for parts or repair)

These were listed as Junk, meaning as-is condition Famicom consoles. The graphics and quality are great for that item. I was able to get one fully working and cleaned, the other has a bad chip that I will replace. They are exactly what I was expecting and I am very satisfied with my purchase. The description was very accurate! Photos are the original listing and the working console AFTER cleaning and restoration.

  • I like Nintendo

The Famicom is good for Nintendo fans, collectors, or people who want to just play good games, even if most of them are in Japanese. Mine works great btw!
