    all 12" speakers seem to measure ONLY 11" across from where the cone starts

    all 12" speakers seem to measure ONLY 11" across from where the cone starts speakers sound great.. and the old linear phase speaker blew when the coil unwound and started buzzing then popping then dead.. magnets are much bigger. and it's painted.. i hated the styrofoam rubber bellows on the old speaker.. this one is rubberized integrated pepper, which i think will be better. maybe not when i say that. but we will see.. does handle the 98.5 watts of the rca stereo center i am driving them with.. and has good 20hz reproduction. rewired the mid as tweeter. wow great power more sound for the watt that the old 20ox 200watt . this new school low price but high end why are they so dam good!!!? is very attractive looking and painted.. and mechanically better than the old school low end product i ...

    Just junk but good door jam.

    Amp was set at 0 DB and clips at 10w RMS had tweeters that did a better job.

    Fair to average sound

    These speakers are a good value for pure sub use, but they lack range and clarity. the diameter is slightly larger than standard, so you may have to router out or otherwise widen your box opening. Though a good price, I was slightly disappointed in their fit and mid range abilities. I used them as replacements for a pair of 5-way technics speakers from the early 80's and they work, but don't sound as good as other Pyramid models I have tried in the past. If you just want sub use for a vehicle or powered home theater sub, they would work fine, however I don't recommend them for speaker system replacement. I give them a B- for a grade.

    Great value for the money, will NOT be disappointed.

    I purchased the subs as a replacement for a pair of cabinets I have and they were alot lighter than the ones I removed (which were blown, I had my doubts but once they were installed, they held up very nicely I put them through their paces with no issues what so ever, my neighbors don't like me anymore :)
