About this product

Product Information

On November 26, 1968, London's illustrious Royal Albert Hall was jammed to its gilded rafters with rock fans ready for the final concert of what many still consider the greatest band that ever played. That band, Cream, featured the legendary Eric Clapton (aka "Slowhand") on lead guitar, the great drummer Ginger Baker (also of the classic rock band Blind Faith), and lead singer-bassist Jack Bruce in a trio that made some of the most amazing rock songs of the Sixties.

I'm a big Clapton fan, what a disappointment this DVD is. It's in documentary form, the folks doing the documentary seemed more interested in special effects than letting the fans see Cream as they were................you don't get to listen to a song from beginning to end, they did OK with Ginger Baker, but when Clapton was soloing, you saw his face or Bruce's bass, when Bruce was singing they had the camera stuck up his mouth, and there were very few if ANY total group shots.

  • Great Title for this show!!!!

There is no better depctition (and experience) on DVD Musically, translated by our new technologically great audio transference from 8mm or whatever they used in those days to a DVD!!!!! The show brings to life what it was like to be at a concert in 1968 and keeps you there. No props, computer generated tricks (like McCartney's live - "Live and Let Die" - !!!) - sorry Paul. The atmosphere was also on the money as the crowd was very well behaved (and a lot "high" and tranquil). There is no better show out there that depicts seeing, being a part of, and getting into a live event for $5 over a 3 hour period of time. Of course, the producers of this show only showed us the best third of the full 3 hour show, but they too "nailed it" with the songs chosen!!! I recommend for any music lover, any ...

  • must have for any collection ...

fantastic recording , with insights & interviews from the band members .... I just wish this band would have stayed together longer , but if they did Blind Faith may not have ever been ...

  • Cream - Farewell Concert

The music was good but they never played a song from start to finish. The camera worked sucked, they tried to make it like you were on an ACID TRIP. The interviews were OK.
