Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure blends elements of strategy role-playing with the random-encounters found in games like Final Fantasy VIII. You are cast in the role of Cornet, a girl who lost her parents at a young age and possesses a strange ability to talk to and control puppets. Cornet must use her distinct talents to find her beloved prince, who has disappeared under strange circumstances.<br><br>Cornet's quest will take her to all corners of the kingdom. She'll make friends, face enemies, and encounter betrayals throughout the course of her adventure. Cornet must also build up a force of puppet friends. She'll encounter potential puppet allies in graveyards, ancient ruins, and in other locales. Monsters you fight can join up with you as well, and they can either level up like your puppet allies or be sold to local collectors for cash. <br><br>As you progress through the game, event flags will unlock new songs and art galleries. Players will be able to play back their favorite songs while watching stills that tell the story behind the song. The image gallery shows extra sketches and moments from the game, although usually in a more detailed manner than the sprite-based graphics can depict. Both English and Japanese languages are supported, and initial shipments of the game include a soundtrack CD as a special bonus.

A Musical WHAT?
If you ever, EVER watched a Disney movie, then this game is absolutely perfect for you. If you like a little bit of risque humor, this game is for you. If you don't like music, love, or a witch who wears a g-string, this is NOT the game for you. Rhapsody: A Musical adventure vaguely reminds me of pokemon in a sense, one of your main goals is to see every monster, and find every puppet. The game itself is not very long, I have it for the DS (so I might be a bit biased), and I am purchasing it for the playstation just because I enjoyed it so much. The characters are heartwarming, the main protagonist : Cornet is absolutely adoreable and the typical shy girl who just wants to be with the man she loves. The music is top notch, especially on the DS version. I was amazed by it, and slightly reminded of the classic Lunar Silver Star Story games as well. I would reccommend this game to any and every little girl who likes a 'dream come true' fairy-tale type story. Disney's got nothing on this, but, I love this game enough to babble about it to any and every person who's ever wanted to find their prince charming. Oh, and attack a large group of monsters with dessert foods. (Pancake attack ftw!)

Great girly game LOL!
I totally love this game, I have one myself acutally but my ex stoled the music cd and the game itself kept freezing and didnt want to play propertly afterwards. When I got this one, you have no idea how excited I was LOL;; I dont mind the scratches at all! if anything, its in alot better condition than how my old one was. I wish i could show you how much this made me happy since practially no one heard of this game around here and even the store where i got it dont recall selling it! Great Game.
Excellent game. Decent graphics (for a ps1 game) and enchanting story. Comical and mischievous. You will get hooked right away. Great addition to any RPG collection. Only complaint is that it was too short - Finished it in under eight hrs... Great game though otherwise. Definitely recommend!
