Watched the YouTube video along with the instructions. The results came out AMAZING! Just take your time with each sanding step (I almost doubled the time of each step) keep spraying the light with water to get wet. The clear coat step was the most crucial part. Make sure your deliberate with the wiping and have enough on the blue towel. Added before and after pics and the next day after curing overnight.

Didn't come with the blue lint free cloth to apply the UV coating at the end. Fortunately I had some lint free wipes at home that worked fine. Otherwise all was OK. I will say that the product works just as described, better than I expected actually.

I spent most of my effort on the 400 grit wet sanding. Well worth it. Headlights look brand new on a 2005 model year car. He's driven the car since I refinished it, sorry for bugs on headlight.

    Worked well, easy to do.

Worked very well. Three grades of paper, polishing paste, and UV blocker. The 400 grit isn't necessary if the lens isn't severly degraded. The plastic has a light haze after polishing and the UV coat makes it look brand new.

  • Great results, but....

Best results compared to other brands, but does require lots of old-fashioned elbow grease. I advise buyer to purchase extra sandpaper supplies (400, 1000 and 2000 grit) as the kits only offers small squares of each that have to folded, one side for each headlight and believe me, they are very difficult to hold onto. Buy a pair of heavy kitchen gloves at Walmart or Target to protect your hands during the sanding process and also to grip the sandpaper. Otherwise, my headlights, which were opaque from a sandstorm, came out looking like new. Figure a good hour and plenty of fresh water to rinse the headlights. A garden hose would be better. When applying masking tape, start farthest away from the headlight and then overlap with subsequent layers; this is because the sandpaper will snag the ...

  • Will buy again

The simplicity it took to do my lights was shocking to me. 20 minutes on each light and they look excellent. The instructions weren't very good as in explanation, but videos were helpful more. When putting uv coating on, my advice to anyone using this product would be to only put on one heavy coating making sure you overlap all passes. If you don't, it will show when it dries. Also work very fast when doing this process and DONOT go over the first coating touching up, because second coat will make the first coat blurr or look unclear or cloudy looking. Overall I give this product a very high rating. Easy to use, looks great, but will have to give it time to see if it holds up to weather and time

  • I can see all obstacles in my way

Second time I've used this kit. On my last car, headlight degradation seemed to occur again after about three years; that car was decommissioned for unrelated reasons a short time later. I am skeptical whether a re-application in that case would have improved things---the three-stage sanding process, it would seem, likely removes most of the plastic clearcoat on the headlight surface, and I don't know that the kit's final stage UV Protectant could be considered an apt substitute. My chief beef is with the automakers and their overlords who dictate the use of the fade-prone plastic over perfectly functional (and non-fade-prone) glass. As long as those rules must be followed, Sylvania's kit is a laudable workaround.
