Tame those large jolts a little
I like that this fits in just like a regular seatpost, and looks pretty good, too. I didn't want some large contraption under the seat, and you also wouldn't be able to lower the seat too much if it was bigger. It does not have a lot of suspension travel, but if you consider the rear suspension travel on most bikes, it's not much either. However, it does do the job. I am using it right now at the setting it came at. Was a little on the stiff side at first, but seems to be working smoother the more I use it. It doesn't work miracles, the small bumps feel about the same, as it usually doesn't give on those, but it really takes the sting out of the large bumps. I have it on a mountain bike, that usually sticks to paved bike trails, but the bike trail I usually ride has a lot of buckled ...
