  • Detailed story on how Delta force was born.

The book is a very detailed story including everyones name in the military that was in any way involved with the founding of the Delta force. Col Beckwith was a real soldier among soldiers and even learned how to play the political game after returning from the involvement with the real wars. We can only hope there are still men of his caliber keeping an eye and gun out for us. Osama found out, although they did not make their stay with him a long visit and I don't believe a lot of pleasantries were exchanged. Hoo Rah

  • Delta Force by Charles Beckwith

This book gives you the complete and inspiring story about the founding and status of this organization. It is comforting to know that we (The United States) has this organization in place and that we do have the ability to deal with all types of groups that are intent on harming our country.

  • long slow read

The book is highly informative. It's an interesting read but you may get bogged down in all the accounts of staff meetings and names of people who are far too many involved.
