Great flash for OLY E-3
The flash seems to do the trick. For the price I paid, it can't be beat. I will never likely use a wireless flash for my family and friends photography. So that is a feature i would gladly forget to save $100 or more.

Best flash for the job
Actually if you own an Olympus digital SLR and want to take serious flash photos, this is it, yes its expensive, but you will waste $$$$ buying third party flash units that promise to be fully compatible only to find out later that they have issues. Always be sure that the focus assist is on in the camera menu so the IR focus works on the flash. As with all big flash units you need to be careful, the hot shoe is the most breakable part of the unit.Actually if you own an Olympus digital SLR and want to take serious flash photos, this is it, yes its expensive, but you will waste $$$$ buying third party flash units that promise to be fully compatible only to find out later that they have issues. Great Product
I recently bought the fl-50 and love it. My favorite part about it being the FP-TTL mode, allowing for TTL shooting up to 1/4000th of a second. Everything works great on it, recycle times are quick with the right batteries. I bought 2500mah energizer rechargable AA's for it which speed up the recycle times and I highly recommend. The only disadvantage to the fl-50 that I can come up with is that it does not have sync cord socket for connecting to a second wireless flash, so I have to shoot with the fl-50 and my secondary flash both on wireless slaves when I want to use two flashes. This disables the use of TTL mode and adds a little extra bulk to my camera bracket. Other than that little note I have no complaints and completely love this flash.I recently bought the fl-50 and love it. These are a great used value
These are big, but well made and powerful. TTL and FP TTL (High Speed Sync) works great on a Panasonic GH1. Also has a nice auto mode if you want to avoid the pre-flash. Canon off camera TTL flash cables work fine in TTL mode with Olympus flashes on both Olympus and Panasonic bodies and are cheaper than Oly cables.
