  • Scholarly Review of "The Road to Stalingrad".....DVD

I recently purchased the DVD titled: "The Road to Stalingrad". The DVD arrived safely and it was thoroughly entertaining. What I liked the most about the DVD was seeing never before footage of the battles on the Russian Front between 1941-1942---up to the time of Stalingrad. This DVD is not for the person that knows very little about WWII, and the war in Russia. The two hour DVD does not do it justice. There is so many more details to explain how the two dictators became arch enemies---that would take many more hours to explain. The DVD does a great job in summarizing the battles and gives the viewer a general idea of the intricate issues that led to the war. I particularly enjoyed the varied points of view between the Nazis and the Soviets. The movie does a great job ...

  • Good WW2 Documentary

An excellent documentary starting with Germany before invading the Soviet Union all the way up to Stalingrad. This documentary looks like it was made in the 1980s but had it was very comprehensive and details I never knew about. The only thing I didn't like was that there was a Part 2 but it was just the same video from Part 1. Strange, but overall it's good.
