    Great product, very happy with the performance and battery life

    I was eyeing a macbook pro for a long time, but financial constraints eventually made me go for a windows unit. I bought this because this was quoted in a good blog that it was "the best workhorse" laptop, and I believe that is true. The battery life is great, the pre installed Lenovo software is pretty useful, many the battery software which keeps tabs on its usage, life and how many charges.The higher def screen is good, and the degrees of brightness are much more variant that my old laptop. I immediately upgraded to 16gb ram myself and it was easy, I followed youtube videos. So far a good purchase, its seems well built and very sturdy.

    Unbeatable keyboard,great ergonomics with strong performance

    I am an apple man, but when I need a Windows machine nothing compares with a Think pad. OI have found the the T430 series to bring the best bang for the buck. You can still find new models well under their $1K list Price. Since upgrades are easy and cheap (easy to find upgrades on Ebay) this is the ultimate transformer. The model came without Bluetooth which I was able to add for less than $10 and 1 hour of work. Tools normally require only a screwdriver. Highly recommended

    Recycling For Fun and Profit

    Broken ThinkPads either disappear into the Great Landfill or reappear as working, functional systems. In this case, the broken screen was replaced with a great one off a system with a Supervisor Password (ending the system board's life) and with over six months of the original Lenovo Warranty remaining, moved on to a new owner. Hard drive cost $31, memory $29 for 8 GB, HD cover and caddy $7, AC adapter came with the other system. Net cost, $164, sold on for $240. Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!

    Wonderful machine!

    This is great product in the family of the T410, T420 and this one the T430, is a more complete and reliable machine that could handle any task. I used this machine extensively and is very fast. I normally download 4 or 5 applications at a time and move back and forth without any delays.I plan to continue buying these machines.

    Tough laptop that packs a punch

    I needed a laptop for my upcoming semester of tech classes. Heard great things about the thinkpad line. Good thing I heard right. Once I got it, I was pleased across the board. Very high quality build, sturdy, tough, good hinges. Laptop itself performs well, runs VM's easily. The built in video card can do work and the dedicated video card blows the built in out of the water. As my first real laptop, I am thoroughly pleased!
