Overpaid for an open box item that was listed elsewhere brand new for $30 LESS than what I paid with FREE shipping. But hey, at least the seller was kind enough to refund half of my shipping costs, after 1. Telling me the item was listed as an open box item but is indeed brand new. FALSE. 2. Telling me that in the future, I need to call the store for a better price. This is customer service!? WILL NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER AGAIN! BUYER BEWARE!

  • Thunderous!

This review is for the 24" 2002 classic ride, not the reverend big al ride. This cymbal is huge and powerful and perfectly encapsulates that classic Bonham sound. The bow is surprisingly articulate given the size. You can play fast doubles and they still come through clear. The bell is several steps higher in pitch than the bow (which I love/need) and is large enough to hit easily. It produces massive, icy tones which cut through any mix. The crash is thunderous and shimmering, although it takes quite a lot of energy to get this heavy cymbal moving. It responds well to glancing strikes with the shoulder of the stick, closer to your hand than you might hit a crash cymbal. The tone is a beautiful balance of focus and wash, somewhere between a Rude Power Ride (dry) and a Giant Beat ...

  • one of the best cymbals i've ever bought!

i had bought this particular cymbal from ebay recently and glad i did! while it certainly is down to 100% opinion and taste on how everyone feels about cymbals and percussion, this piece was perfect for me. since i'm a big fan of john bonham, cozy powell, alex van halen and liked their sound with this particular ride, i was able to get their classic sound with ease as well as put my own stamp on it and get my own sound. this cymbal certainly won't be for everybody. and other musicians may prefer other brands or lines. and big cymbals as well as bigger drums aren't always very popular. but, for musicians like me who like bigger cymbals and drums,it's ideal! i have to play with other musicians with a lot of amplification and volume, and this cymbal cuts with plenty of sustain and full bodied ...

  • A great ride cymbal

Like many drummers, my ear changes over time. In looking for a new ride sound, I decided to look into the 2002 rides as Zildjian wasn't offering anything I liked. I played a 2002 ride in a local store and was blown away by the complex tonal definition it offers. It's cutting, clear (without too much high end) and can play at any volume level. It's also a GREAT crash cymbal. I decided on the 24" ride and I couldn't be happier. This is truly a multi-purpose cymbal that sounds great with any combination you put it with. Bonham knew what he heard when played these bad boys, so dial in and see the light.

  • Best sounding ride cymbal. Paiste nailed this one! A+

This is by far one of the best sounding ride cymbals I have ever owned or heard. I own several different brands of cymbals so I am not just a Paiste fan. This ride has a crisp and clean tone that cuts through sound clutter. Fantastic for live performances, big or small. Zildjian, Sabian etc, all make a great ride cymbal, but I have been playing for over 32 years and this one is my favorite.

  • Big sound

Nice mix of tones without the harsh sound. Nice ping when playing easy. Plenty of range on the cymbal. The bell sounds great also
