    Like a Rock

    This lens, like all of the Zeiss ZE lenses, feels like a rock in your hands. The build quality, in my opinion, is second to none. The focus action is silky smooth and the all metal body will help keep it that way. The hood is also all metal and it snaps into place with the assurance that most plastic hoods just can't match. This lens is manual focus only. For me, that's a GOOD thing. No AF to fail or be slightly "off". Simply set the aperture using the dial on your camera and then focus on your subject. Simple, beautiful, and like a rock.

    Great lens with the right price

    I am looking for a new coding of Zeiss 1.4/50mm for a long time as I have one AEJ and I love, I want to see that MMx or newer can give better photos, but the condition and the price can’t make me make decision, once I saw this offer I jumped it and no disappointment , great lens with the great price

    Great lens for landscape photography.

    I don't ever plan on using this wide open, so if it is not tack sharp at f 1.4 no biggie. I shoot landscapes with it at f 8-11 and it out resolves any of my Canon L lenses. Don't use it a lot, but when I do the images are brilliant.
