  • Gay Athletes are Mostly Closeted

I am still reading this book but the way it is going I think the guys involved in the stories just portrayed themselves as victims of homophobia and rejection. I wanted to know more about those athletes who still are in the closet and how they are able to accept their orientation and how they are able to have a private romantic life. I also wanted to know if they usually get sexual advances or get stalked or harassed.

  • Jocks

"Synopsis Openly gay athletes from a variety of sports, as well as coaches and educators, discuss the challenges, harassment, and acceptance they received as a result of their sexual orientation." It's interesting to see books that shows that there are more men who do not fit the stereotype of being gay. Book is 12 years old but more recently it's becoming more the norm to not necessarily like the typical "gay" things such as fashion, bars, etc. The stories really makes me understand another element to being gay. Being a Man who happens to be gay. You will like this book. The paperback edition is affordable. Enjoy~~~~
