Gillette Sensor Excel, year 2000, Best of The Best

This Gillette Sensor two blade system is the best that I know of. And this Sensor Excel version from the year 2000 is the best of the best. The tweaking of the rubber padded handle surface and improved weighted balance makes it better than previous models, imo. I'm not a razor collector. I shave with them. So I'm not happy about paying collector prices for these Sensor razors, but it is what it is. Since I found out about them being discontinued I bought an extra just in case my 20 year old Sensor 3 gives out. It is the same as the 2000 Excel, just a different color. I prefer the original Sensor 2 blade cartridges, but Excels are okay.

  • It’s the original

It’s the original. My husband lost his while traveling and he was upset. He had the razor since the 90’s and while he has tried other types, this is the only one he likes. Luckily, I was able to obtain another one for him. While the cost is high, it was worth it to me. He is happy now and I said “don’t loose it”. Haha

  • The best razor ever

The Gillette sensor and sensor excel are by far the best razors ever made. There is absolutely no need for these 3,4, and 5 blade razors. They are just on the market to charge more money, they are a gimmick with no need. Don't fall for it buy a sensor excel and see for yourself. 2 blades is all you need, really one blade is all you need, but two is great too.

  • Gillette Sensor Excel razor

A little pricey, but the stores don't carry them. Lucky to find one. They last a long time if you take care of it. My old one works fine(over 20 years old) I just wanted a backup.

  • Don't make 'em like they used too

So it would be about $18-20 if still available at same quality (i.e. metal) today, so I guess paying double for the rarity of a long discontinued item is not so bad. I do not like any of the new shavers and have plenty of blades for this handle. I still use my 20+ year old Sensor every day (along with the cheaper 2000s plastic version) so I do not feel like investing in this spare was wasting money,
