    Fantastic movie

    I have always loved this movie & had it on VHS and watched it quite often, then I no longer had VHS and never got the DVD until now. It's not on netflix or amazon to purchase so I was so pleased to find it on a DVD on eBay at a bargain price. It can be hard to find. If you like comedy romance you will love this movie. Tom Conti's expressions are priceless, they make me laugh every time. I know once you watch it you will want to watch it again.

    I Love this movie

    I absolutely love this movie. I own the vhs version, but wanted the dvd so it would last longer and be better mastered. This movie is about a suburban house wife named Cathy. She has a husband who is very traditional and works long hours. The only excitment in her life are the Rebecca Ryan novels that she reads and gets lost in. She enters a writing contest, in which she is obligated to write a short piece. The contestant that writes the most like the author of the Rebecca Ryan novels would win a all expenses trip to Paris. Cathy wins the contest and is forbided to go by her husband who is very head strong. Cathy goes regardless. Upon her arrival she gets hit by a car, causing her to wake up from a coma like state and believe she is Rebecca Ryan. After meeting the author in which she feels ...

    This is such a gem of a movie: witty dialogue, entertaining plot, and fun fare for an evening--a keeper! When an unappreciated housewife wins a writing contest, her boring husband is too busy to take the romantic trip to Paris with her (her dream prize), so she goes it alone...and soon after, loses her memory in a mishap. Thus begins her life-changing adventure of mystery, danger, and intrigue! The interplay between JoBeth Williams and the charming Tom Conti is the best part, especially when Williams "wakes up" and thinks she is the spunky, confident, mystery-solving "Rebecca Ryan." Unable to slow her down, the bemused and ever-suffering Conti gets suckered into this strange woman's illusions of grandeur--and everything just snowballs from there! James Staley ...

    TheAmerican Dreamer

    This is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. The comedic interaction between JoBeth Williams and Tom Conti is so superb it is like they were living the movie; instead of acting. The support cast fits in with them like fingers in a glove. You will enjoy this movie over and over for years.
