Great show, lousy transfer but watchable.
Pro's. All DVD's in excellent condition. No scratches. The set includes the booklet listing all the show titles, and the DVD's include lots of extras. All DVD's played fine. Con's. Just one and that is the quality of the transfers. Why this show isn't given better treatment is a mystery. The quality is watchable but after being used to HD it's a step or two down. Fortunately the quality of the show itself helps you forget the lousy transfer. Someone should step up and get it out on BluRay. Fully worthwhile if you are a fan of the show...Pro's. I never got to view The Larry Sanders Show when it was on the air but I happen to catch a couple of shows which are now showing on cable. I decided to order the complete set and have found it to be one of the most thoroughly entertaining shows ever. The episodes are well written and directed and always hilarious. Each one always left me anxious to see the next. I'm about half way through the set and have no doubt I'll bee seeing them all over again. Must-see television! Star-studded and very funny. If you like show business/backstage stuff, this is for you. Now that I watch it again, I'm conscious of how many shows have capitalized on this brand of humor.
