The next time your child asks for a puppy, bring home Nintendogs: Dalmatian and Friends; a less expensive and messless alternative. Begin by picking your dog out from a variety of choices including boxer, golden retriever, dalmatian, terrier, beagle, German Shepard and more. There are a total of 14 breeds to choose from, although some are not available until certain game requirements are met. Take your puppy to your virtual house where you begin the training of your animal by giving it a name. Speak the chosen moniker into the DS's microphone a few times and your puppy will begin to understand and come when called. You are responsible for the feeding, cleaning, and watering of your dog, and should walk your dog at least once a day. Competitions in obedience are available, and canine companions can earn cash prizes to spend in the pet store on accessories, food, and toys. "Bark" mode alerts you when the presence of another poochie player is detected within your local wireless network allowing the two of you to play together and swap spare items and gifts.

Great retro game.
My daughter lost this game cartridge years ago and it was her favorite DS game. I surprised her at Christmas with the cartridge from Ebay and she was so excited to set up her dogs. She played it for hours while on vacation.

Nintendogs: Dalmation edition
This is a nice little game about puppy dogs. It involves adopting a dalmation puppy and then taking care of it by giving it love and attention. You also feed it and train it to sit, recognize its own name ect.... I like this game. My son wanted it for Christmas and he has played with it quite a bit. It can be challenging to train these puppies!! We did figure out that any background noise like the television, stereo ect.., can interfere with the puppy "hearing" your commands. So it is best played in a quiet room. When you get your puppy trained you can take her to shows and earn ribbons. Over all, this is a good non-violent game that has a good entertainment value.This is a nice little game about puppy dogs. So far so good
Lots of voice commands (which DS does not always understand). Only been playing for a few days...so i'm wondering if your pup ever grows into an adult dog. If so can your dog have puppies? A vet. clinic would be something to add to these games. Since from what I understand its supposed to be sorta like what you would you dog. Some of the things the dogs find are not realistic...i've never heard of dogs finding boxes of tissues while out for walks. You can teach them general commands and a few of your own. Then again it all depends on which dog you buy, some are easier to train the others (not talking breeds, talking personalities). Swimming would also be a suggestion to add to these games.... some dogs love to swim. I guess you need more options of things to do with your dogs. And IF they ... Overall great game
Ive always been a fan of this game, the puppys are very cute and the voice action is fun (though a bit annoying at times). Unlocking the various puppies consistently gives you something to shoot for as well as getting your pups to be the best they can be with training and play. The only real flaw in these Nintendogs games is its repetetive side, for example the only contests you can do are frisbee, obediance, and agility plus you can only do a total of 3 contests a day. It may get boring quickly and it takes quite a bit of time, dedication, and patience to go through the contests with each dog over and over but I find its worth it and wonderful for those whom cannot own a real dog.Ive always been a fan of this game, the puppys are very cute and the voice action is fun (though a bit annoying at times). What I like about this game is that it encourages little kids to be responsible and learn from the consequences of not being committed with a task. Yes it is cute to have a puppy and play with her, but you also have to take care of her necessities: feed her, give her a bath, walk her, pick up the poop, etc. It could be a little frustrating, since in order to get more puppies you must train the one you have and enter her in contests to win money, but overall it is a great game, my daughter loves it.What I like about this game is that it encourages little kids to be responsible and learn from the consequences of not being committed with a task.
