About this product
Product Information
This critical study examines Jane Eyre in the context of the culture from which it sprang . Imlay shows how the novel conceals a reworking of the classical fairy-tale Cupid and Psyche and how Bronte used her story to describe a 19th-century soul in search of love while knowing of its relationship to the Platonic tradition. The author demonstrates the Bronte family's knowledge of Freemasonry and classical paganism and shows how Bronte took her heroine, and also the reader, through earth, air, fire and water (body, soul, passion and reason) in the first four sections of the novel, to arrive in the fifth as the quintessence , or human soul, united with both spiritual and physical love. It is Bronte's own model of personality. Further discussion is given to Bronte's manipulation of the Platonic tradition to feminist ends, reversing the traditional symbolism.

Hello,
I received your package today with a book I did not order. I ordered Museum marketing and you sent Python for Data Analysis. That is very dishonsest and not reliable selling practice. I want my money back in full with shipping costs, 13,19£ on my credit card I paid with. Otherwise I will file a complaint at Ebay. Obviously I am not paying for sending your book back. I you want it back, thanks for sending a prepaid label. Pictures are proof in attachment.

Ganong was a fantastic Physiology Book I used nearly 50yrs ago when a medical student. It was brilliant, clear and had an incredibly readable font. Thought I'd do a bit of quick revision. The updated 26th edition retails at about £68 and this 2010 23rd edition was just under £7. Different font - but as good as ever. Maybe slightly out of date but it'll do me nicely as a reference book. The book was an ex-library book - but was in good nick (with a plastic cover) and arrived promptly. 5 star!
