The Guns of Navarone is unusual. It is a fictional story of World War 2 that is often more realistic than the truth. The characters are people we all know and love from other films. They act well and the locations are beautiful and also characteristic of the Mediterranean war. Most everyone in the world has seen this movie at one time or another in their lives and it is the type of movie, and score that is unforgettable. You can be sitting in the living room one day and say to yourself, it's been a long time since I've seen the Guns of Navarone! If that happens, it would be a good idea to have a copy of the movie on hand to pull down from the shelf to watch.The Guns of Navarone is unusual. Prolific Adventure
I remember my oldest brother taking me to see this on the Big Screen years ago. Amazing how many scenes I remembered. It was one of the best films of its time and is the Best of of All Time Classics. These men had genius and courage most of wish we could muster just once. These men were willing to die and some did die for a Noble cause. The leaders were able to see the "End Game". The actors during its filming played chess between scenes and were super competitive. The great thing was is how endeared they were in the sense that this film was no picnic to film and the courage bell rang clear with every single individual actor. Classic Wartime movie
