In addition, the Samsung S860 has a 3x optical and 3x digital zoom giving 9x total zoom when combined.With the Face Detection AF & AE function, the Samsung S860 enables the user to take better portrait pictures more easily. The function detects faces and automatically focuses on them; the brightness of the faces is adjusted optimally for beautiful portrait pictures.DIS technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and color which is sometimes found in flash photography. With DIS the effects of image blur are reduced in lower light conditions. You can even take well exposed, sharper pictures in low light conditions without using a flash at all, which guarantees brighter and more natural pictures.You have a choice of scene modes to help you get the perfect shot in any situation. By automatically adjusting the camera's setting according to the situation, you can be sure of getting great pictures effortlessly. The scene modes provided are Children, Landscape, Close-up, Text, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow, Night and Portrait.

    Good camera - just be sure it is from a good seller and in good condition.

    Nice overall camera that has a good feel in your hands. This is a slightly larger camera than those that easily fit in your pocket, but in return you gain a large display and controls that are nicely spaced out for easy operation. Menus are nice to navigate too. This camera does use "AA" batteries, which is a plus I feel as you are not locked into a rechargeable battery pack - common on smaller cameras. As for picture quality, it is generally good. Like many more affordable cameras, low light capability is not good. The camera will focus, however dark areas of the photos will have "digital noise" that higher level cameras handle better. As a buyer looking for a camera, do beware that this model can suffer from a known issue with short battery life. This happens ...

    High-resolution, handy camera for not much money

    This is a cool little camera, takes great pics for its size. It's handy to carry in your pocket. 1 problem is, when you're shooting video, it cuts the microphone when you zoom in or out, so you miss some of the action. Also the image gets a little blurred during zooming (doesn't focus quite fast enough). Makes a great starter camera for someone interested in photography, and just for snapshots!

    Great Photos and great for Newbies!

    This is a really great camera! I am new at using a digital camera and it can walk you through the steps of using it on screen. You can also make you tube videos and video memories with such clarity its so easy to use U love it!

    Great GREEN camera! Super deal for the price!!!

    Lots of great qualities including image stabilization, video, easy transfer of pictures and quality photos. My 18 year old daughter loves GREEN and she is an aspiring photographer. She has already put out some great photos and video with it. She is delighted and thrilled with her new camera! It is well built and the 8.1 megapixels allow for some large pictures with great quality!

    Samsung S860 Camera Review

    We owned this exact camera and it was damaged on a go cart track. We loved it so we bought another. For the price the pictures are excellent. Very little graininess. Easy to transfer images to our computer also. I would recommend it.
