Cards were fused together inside the box upon receipt and could not be separated without damaging the cards. Basically worthless and seller made no attempt to rectify after multiple communications. Buyer Beware working with this seller!

  • Best of the Slim Receivers

Pros: The low height and calculated dimensions make allow this to fit in the narrowest of entertainment centers or shelfs. The color and width allow for an assortment of DVD players to match it. Most people are fooled by it's stats. The 65w is plenty powerfull enough to drive my 2-Polk RT800i Front speakers. Yet it still has crisp clean surround thru the digital optical and or coax cables. This has a nice variety of listening options including my favorite for music; all channel stereo. It really fills up a room. The video connections allow for any hook up option. I havent tried the component up conversion so I cant say how well it works. Cons: No on screen display for easy programing. Lack of universal learning remote (standard on high end Onkyo receivers). Not THX certified. Small ...

  • Just right.

I own two of these receivers. One set-up in my master bedroom... and one I'm putting together a system for my son. It provides a comfortable amount of features, power, and connectivity... without taking up much space! I have owned exclusively Onkyo receivers since the early '80s (still have a TX-844 powering my home studio) as they have NEVER failed me in any way, shape, or form. I recently upgraded my living room theater from a TX-SV727, to the new TX-SR705 (delightful choice as well). I can safely say, the TX-LR552 sounds worth EVERY penny compared to any setup I have owned. Buy one... you'll like it.

  • Slimline Reciever

As I mentioned in the title it's a slimline receiver - this is a requirement to fit in the space I have. I actually purchased this one off of ebay in the hopes to repair my existing one... so that should tell you I am quite pleased with it. It's only 65watts, not going to shake the house with it, but very pleased with the sound and configuration options it does have. Pros: lots of inputs, VERY clean looks, nice remote, Onkyo Name Cons: Speaker Terminals are spring clip type - Rather have banana jacks - perhaps there wasn't enough room, not HDMI connectors (too old) I am confident that when it comes time to buy another receiver Onkyo will be on a very short list of possible brands: Onkyo, Dennon, Harmon Karden

  • Great value and a solid performing receiver.

compact with many features. Plenty of power for rooms. Excellent value in a smaller size than some receivers.

  • Great receiver

This is a great receiver. It's small, it's feature packed, and the sound quality in on par with more expensive systems. A shame that Onkyo discontinued it.
