Lightweight, roomy and comfy bag that fits smaller frames
I was looking for a photography bag that was sturdy, comfortable, and well designed for my gear. This fits the bill. As a female photographer, it's been near impossible to find a bag that fits my frame. This one is bigger than what I've had but still small enough for me to manage. It fits my Nikon D810, five lenses, battery chargers, and monopod (nice side pocket for that). If I wanted to carry a small laptop, there's a nice padded pocket for that in the front. The only thing I would add is an outside pocket for small accessories, i.e., lens brushes, cleaning solution, lens cloths, etc. I managed to fit a brush and cloth in one super small pocket, but it's really not big enough. Awesome, innovative camera backpack!
The Mindshift Backlight 18L Backpack is well made, light weight. and full of cool features. Lots of thought went into the design of this camera backpack. If I was a camper I would have considered one of their larger models ( 36L) but my kit is just 1 body/lens, 2 additional lenses and a few accessories, with a travel tripod attached to the back. My favorite feature is the back loading camera compartment. Not many packs have this feature. You can swing this around on your hips and have complete access to your gear. When you lay it on the ground any dirt will end up on the back of the pack not your back.
