I purchased this item for £1299 which the seller advertised as ‘including vat’ yet after delivery when I contacted him about a VAT receipt he informs me he is not VAT registered so therefore no VAT is included or is recoverable. I am now referring this to HMRC and EBay.

All products sold on Ebay inc VAT. You are confused about this it seems. Stating my price includes shipping & VAT is correct, when you create a listing Ebay asks you to fill in your BIN price and below the box where you enter your price it states (Includes vat) So this has absolutely nothing to do with whether I'm VAT registered or not. It also states on listings and profiles if sellers are VAT reg. You only contacted me 40 days after purchase about this not before or when you ordered ? Dave
