Works great, once in a while need to resend signal
Connect to Viper DS4+ Works great usually, 5-20 sec delay possible. So far maybe 20% of the time I need to resend the signal via the app. When locking, the phone app's lock symbol won't turn red if the connection fails, so then resend right away and so far for me it then takes. Vipers "Smart Start" competitive version to the LT2 needs to be activated by the Viper installer for functions to work. What you have to do it set up a free account with My Car by downloading the MyCar app (PlayStore ) which is to register the LT2 box with them allowing it to use their servers to receive your apps signal and send it back to the built in cell transceiver inside the LT2. I don't think they asked at any time for a credit card number. The cell antenna is built into the unit on the sticker side of the LT2 so the sticker needs to have a clear shot to the sky (not behind metal, plastic is ok). BTW, went to BestBuy Northgate (WA) for Viper install and to have them plug in the LT2 into the accessories port of the Viper as the LT2 is fully supported to work with my Viper DS4+ remote start unit. That's where the trouble started. Installer was fine but his go between and seemingly worthless sidekick at the desk was a piece of work. Attitude was that of a frustrated authoritarian that demanded strict obedience. He explained all the terrible things that would be bestowed on you if it was found that any other non-Directed branded product (got near?? LOL) was used with it. He did make it clear though, that I still do own the vehicle and am allowed those privileges. I am glad he cleared that up though.

I have it for standalone unit for alerts and gps and this is my 2nd unit and I love it. Also It’s about the cheapest service out there with $40 for the year after the first year and it works great.
