Homicide: Life on the Street Season 3
Police work at its finest. Each episode portrayal is exactly how it works in real police work. The characters and situations take place in Baltimore. They are so human, emotional, and realistic. With all the frailities of the detectives; and, sometimes, too, the victums/perpetrators, you can really relate to their feelings concerning each and every case they work. You see everyside of the coin: from the detective who cares too much to the detective only going through the motions, the helpless victum or the monstrous villian. You learn to love the characters; and, in some instances, even hate some of them. This is police work at its rawness. From the beginning of the crime to the final resolution, you will be mesmorized. You either love it or hate it ! I found this show one of the best police dramas ever produced. The actors are diverse and as different as night and day. The writing 1st quality; the directing excellent. I would rank it up there with "Hill Street Blues" for authenticity, diversity, and factuality; far superior to "NYPD Blue" or "Law and Order". It brings gut-wrenching humanity and realistic pain to the episodes; you can not help but be touched by it.You either love it or hate it !
