Dripping with purple influence.
Mavis Staples has a rich history of wonderful music, and did some amazing work during the brief season when Prince was producing and writing for her. The most memorable collaborative project was "Time Waits For No One", but "The Voice" album is no bench-warmer. It features "Melody Cool" (originally found on the "Graffiti Bridge" soundtrack) and a brilliant cover of Prince's "Positivity" from the "Lovesexy" album.
