Seller noted that lights/sounds didn't work, but was more than likely due to dead batteries, and since item was in original packaging, seller couldn't swap them out. The first time I ever saw this book was in a PX on Fort Clayton, Panama.I was roughly 11 years old.You see most American movies did not come to the U.S. bases til anywhere from six months to a year after they were released in the U.S.So you would have to wait to see them.Alien was the talk of the world, and we couldn't see it yet.So, you read a lot about these movies in magazines before you got to actually see them.One day I'm looking at the magazine rack picking up my usual copy of Cracked, and sitting on the bottom shelf is this book Alien.I was dumbstruck!I picked it up and started thumbing through it.The pictures were amazing!Every scene is detailed.Even the nasty tummy one.I begged, I pleaded, but to no avail.My mom refused to pay that kind of money for a book!I think it was only like ... Just like the other reviewer, I first saw this book almost 30 years ago. It's quite a work of art. A friend of mine had a copy but I was never able to find my own, and I kept meaning to search for it. Alien is still one of my favourite films even after all these years. This takes me back to when I was 17 and first caught the bug ! Saw the film 7 times in the theatre (pre VHS in the house). If you like the movie, you'll love this book.Just like the other reviewer, I first saw this book almost 30 years ago. It's quite a work of art. I was delighted to find this item, it follows the film with accurate cells and narrative/dialog and gives an occasional alternative view of the subject, not seen in the film. This is, however, the film ALIEN in faithful graphic novel format. Don't look for a different story or dramaticly changed images. High quality soft binding, and the ink did not smear under my fingers. Are you a fan of the perfect organism?
