    Inexpensive and works great

    I'm running a computer with Windows Home Server 2011 in an older system running an AMD AM2+/AM3 motherboard and AM3 CPU that only had 4GB RAM in it. It worked OK, but definitely was using all the RAM it could. The maximum memory it supports is 8GB, so for the price, I figured why not try it. What can I say, I popped out the 2 2GB memory modules and installed these and everything works fine. The system is now an antique compared to a modern server, but considering how great it works, and everything that is in it with the exception of the HDD's and this RAM is just hand-me-down parts, it is awesome.

    Outdated ram will not work in outdated retail motherboards

    Will not work in a retail machine, HP/Compaq and such.Have not tried custom build motherboards yet,ASUS,MSI,Azrock.Have yet to see
