        Relatively quiet

        I had a Dremel multi-purpose tool for several years and it was fine except for the screaming noise. I had to wear ear covers to endure it. On a hot day I ran it for about thirty minutes straight and it got so hot it started smoking and died on me. The Makita is muich quieter and does not overheat. It's quite a bit heavier than the Dremel but that's OK. Adjustable speed is nice to have. A light would have been nice but there is none. I think I paid around $115 so that is reasonable.

        good quality brand multi-tool

        from my research, the makita brand oscillating multi-tool is better built than the others. i have only used it once but so far i like the tool.no negatives.the only thing is no light but i use a head light if i need one anyway
