    Printer arrived in short order but it's a short trip in Texas miles anyway! 😄 Came in the factory box and packaging and no FedEx "Oopsie" blemishes either. Been so busy I haven't even plugged it in, the day after it arrived is when this weather event (flooding and the Guadalupe River is a couple miles south of my office) to deal with but when everything dries up I'll press it into action.     Had to call tech support

    Unit plug and play but my Windows 10 speeds were slow using speed checks. Downloaded software but would not install properly, one of two utilities was complaining about missing DLL! Tech support worked 30 minutes in Teamviewer. Finally after IP changes and setting default speed settings, switch worked fine. At this time none of the utilities recognize the switch! I will leave it be as switch working fine. This is the second product from Netgear with failed software utilities.

    A bit more work at the start than usual. If you are up for it, fine, otherwise, move on.

    This switch is a special NAS version that Netgear sold only to special customers... like NSA. It has special firmware in it: V5.4.0.3, which cannot be managed using the normal netgear methods. It will not be seen by the DHCP function in your router, and wont be issued an IP address. To use this switchyou should find a windows computer, set its IP address to fixed, 192.168.0.210, and install a copy of Netgear's ProSAFE Plus Configuration Utility. You also need to find a copy of the latest firmware for the switch.. I used V1.6 from Netgear's website. You need for the windows computer to have its WIFI turned off, and nothing connected to its ethernet cable. Apply power to the GS105E switch, with no network cables installed, and then connect ONE cable between any port on the switch and ...

    This is a great switch. It's hard to find 40 degree Celcius (122F) consumer equipment any longer. The web management abilities are decent considering the price.

    Great router, needs a little config to be effective
