    Mini-Espresso Machine

    My very first espresso machine and AFFORDABLE without compromising the taste of coffee. I truly loved it. My daughter too loved it as she visited for Christmas. This is helpful for a single use such as I. Such a pleasant taste and the operation is fairly easy, even easier with cleanup! Storage system with 3 different sizes of coffee filters. Instructions were clear. So happy with my machine. If this dies in few years (which I hope not!) - I defy will get another one like this, maybe a fancier brand ONLY if I'm able to afford. ;) Definitely worth the purchase. Thank you!

    Makes nice strong espresso, milk attachment not wonderful

    The espresso that comes out is great for me! Strong. The frothing part is not fun to use and is strange. We don't like foam and could take a part of to just have the milk steamed but this one has to have the frothing part on or the piece under pops off in the cup.

    seeking crema

    before this year, I was happy with the way DeLonghi pressurized filter baskets give you lots of crema. The flavor was good enough for me. I'm aware that some people go to great lengths to put in unpressurized filter baskets in order to get the flavor and crema they think they need, but not me. My old DeLonghi (not a high-end model, and no longer available) broke down, and I found that DeLonghi's current crop of filter baskets would not make crema for me. They make it just fine in DeLonghi's instruction videos. I can't figure it out. With this model I was able to pop in my old machine's portafilter and basket, and get plenty of crema—and good flavor—just like before. It's also quite quiet, and heats up very fast after turning on.

    A well-designed latte machine at a reasonable price!

    This a great little latte maker! This less-expensive Delonghi has some very nice features that were missing in my previous Saeco machine. The Delonghi has a removable platform/grate that allows the use of a full-size cup instead of having to use two small cups. If you do use the platform for small cups, there's lots of room for any spills and an indicator to let you know it's time to empty it. The filter can be used as single-shot or double-shot, and it's not necessary to bang the filter to remove the coffee puck; just shake it loose. The frothing wand works well and takes less than a minute to heat up the steam. I accidentally ran this machine with the water reservoir dry for probably 30 minutes . . . I had it on a timer while away from the kitchen and didn't realize it was set to ...
