    Works great for BitLocker encryption

I bought a couple of these TPM chips for a couple of older SuperMicro workstations we have, to run BitLocker encryption on the internal hard disks. Installing them took 5 minutes. The chips work perfectly, allowing us to use BitLocker without the need for USB drives. The BIOS and Windows recognized them right away, and after a few reboots the drives were encrypting away. At a cost comparable to decent flash drives, the convenience they give is quite a bargain. Recommended.

  • Great TPM 1.2 module that even works on ASUS X79 motherboards

Great lil TPM module that worked great on my ASUS X79 motherboard. However, this is a 1.2 device not the 2.0 that is required by Windows 11 which was my end goal. Though encrypting the contents of my disks that has all sorts of personal info on them is probably still a good idea even if the chance of theft is low.

  • Works perfectly - but make sure your GPU has UEFI support too!

I had no problems installing and getting the motherboard to recognize this. However, to use it with Secure Boot you need a video card that has UEFI support too. Otherwise, it won't POST and you'll need to rest the BIOS completely.

  • A TPM 1.2, worked on ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0. Upgraded W10 Pro to W11 Pro with Rufus bypass.

Worked on ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0. This motherboard still on DDR3. A TPM 1.2 is basically to be able to install Windows 11. Upgraded from Windows 10 Pro to 11, with Rufus hardware bypass checking. Ok so far...
