    I don’t know how to describe how this person packed this other than it would’ve survived a direct hit from a JDAM bomb. Shipping is expensive and they didn’t cut corners. Arrived on time and wrapped in bubble wrap, then foam surrounded the entire outer shell. The speaker connected instantly and works as described and designed. They gave me a good deal as well and will absolutely buy from them again.

    Great item. Very stable. Feature rich.

    As a network engineer and trained in Cisco products, I like the Cisco ASA line. I've configured many of them and though I review this as easy to configure, that is as someone who is trained and experienced at doing so. Adding one to my home lab is easy. For someone who has never configured a firewall or VPN, this item would be a bit daunting. That said there is plenty of online information available to anyone willing to search for it.

    Great hardware, but unfortunately you have to deal with Cisco.

    Five stars for the ASA5508. Zero stars for Cisco 's license processes, which no one -- not even Cisco -- seems to be able to understand. If you are buying it for the Firewall functionality, it's hard to beat. Especially at this price. But forget Firepower, probably Cisco's worst idea ever.
