      Works, but setup is tricky!

This device will allow you to connect two analog telephones to VOIP service. The setup is relatively simple, HOWEVER note that in order to gain access to the web interface of this box you MUST connect a computer to the LAN port (yellow) and NOT the WAN Port (Blue) and you MUST connect to the device using the special IP address of 192.168.15.1 and that only works if your computer is on that same network i.e., 192.168.1.xx. Then, after you change the default password (admin/admin), you can access the web interface from the WAN port which by default will obtain its address via DHCP. This whole procedure is cumbersome and rather unnecessary. Most device of this type allows initial access and setup via the WAN port (often its only port). It is fine to require password change on initial login ...

Exactly as described. Came with power adapters. Works. Routes calls and great for my testing setup where I can use it as a faux phone network to act as a "go-between" for my dial-up Internet emulation setup. Thanks! A+

    • Good ATA but..

The ATA may be hard set to provision for a provider when booted. You can tell by resetting the ATA and then log in and go to provisioning under voice. If anything exists clear that out and then save. It is best to update the firmware first. Just keep in mind if you ever reset the ATA to clear out provisioning again so it's not auto-configured on boot up. I've been using one of these Cisco SPA122-RC sip ATA devices for two weeks now and has been really good.

    • Super simple voice gateway

Not the newest item on the market at this point, but this is the easiest, simplest, and cheapest voice gateway I've found. Works with rotary phones too!
