It arrived covered in what looked like plastic machining dust, bits of yellow and white plastic. Its main use is for watches and that requires NO DIRT. I had to spend about 10 minutes to take it apart, wash, dry, and reassemble. It and the packaging look to be very static producing so the dust wants to grab on to it. A little anti-static ionization and or spray somewhere near final packaging would save the customer some time and frustration. Other than that, it works well. Exactly what I needed!
What a great, but simple product! It does exactly what I needed it for...holding watch cases and dials. Pretty intuitive to use in my opinion, so no instructions needed. For the price, it is hard to beat! Yes, mine also had some residual plastic in the threads and didn't operate as smooth as I liked right away. Nothing too serious. But just a few minutes of working it in/out, taking a toothpick and toothbrush to the threads and applying an ever so light coat of oil to the threads and guide rods and voila! It now works perfectly smooth. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.What a great, but simple product! It does exactly what I needed it for...holding watch cases and dials. Great Watch Case Holder
Used it to hold several of my wife's Kirk's Folly watches while using another tool to unscrew the backs. The holder shape made putting it in a bench vise possible so I could use two hands to open the case. Worked great even with very tightly closed cases.
